About this role
1. Plant & Process OperationsMonitor and control complete coal washery operations during the shift from the control room (CCR) and field. Ensure the smooth, continuous running of crushing and screening systems, heavy media circuits, jig/flotation systems, dewatering units, and conveyor networks. Maintain target ash percentage, clean coal yield, and required product quality parameters. Coordinate start-up and shutdown procedures safely and efficiently. 2. Production Management & Output OptimizationAchieve shift-wise and daily production targets with minimal operational downtime. Monitor raw coal feed quality and adjust operational parameters (water flow, media density) accordingly. Minimize process losses, reject handling blockages, and equipment idling time.3. Manpower Supervision & DeploymentSupervise console operators, field operators, and contract workforce during the shift. Allocate duties effectively and maintain workforce discipline on the shop floor. Conduct shift handover meetings, safety briefings, and guide junior crew members on proper operational procedures.
Required skills
1. Technical & Process Skills Washery Circuit Mastery: Deep operational knowledge of coal beneficiation circuits—including heavy medium separation (HMS), dense medium cyclones (DMC), jigs, froth flotation cells, and dewatering centrifuges. Material Flow Control: Expertise in monitoring and managing raw coal crushers, vibrating screens, slurry pumps, thickeners, and massive belt conveyor networks. Yield & Quality Optimization: Ability to monitor and balance parameters like feed rate, water pressure, media density (magnetite), and clean coal ash content to maintain target recoveries. Control Room & Field Operation: Familiarity with DCS/CCR (Central Control Room) panel monitoring and field-level equipment checks. 2. Operational & Shift Management Skills Shift Supervision: Proven capability to lead, deploy, and manage a team of operators, helpers, and contractors during rotating shifts. Troubleshooting & Crisis Management: Quick response capability to handle operational bottlenecks like pipeline choking, mechanical jams, equipment tripping, or conveyor slips. Cross-Functional Coordination: Seamless communication with the maintenance team and plant foreman during breakdowns to ensure quick turnaround times. 3. Safety & Compliance Skills Safety Enforcement: Strict implementation of factory safety rules, safe work practices, and Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures during maintenance or clearing blockages. Housekeeping & Environmental Control: Maintaining clean shop floors to prevent coal dust accumulation and slurry spillage hazards.
