Required skills
Batching Plant & Automation Operations: Proficiency in operating computerized batching systems, weigh-feeders, conveyors, skip hoists, and automated bins that compile the charge mix. Recipe & Ratio Management: Ability to accurately follow specific recipe proportions set by the metallurgist or shift incharge (varying exact weights for quartz, carbon reductants, and ores based on the grade being produced). Equipment Familiarity: Working knowledge of vibrating feeders, load cells, pneumatic gates, belt conveyors, and dust suppression systems around the batching house.
