About this role
The QC Laboratory Technician / In-Charge is responsible for testing raw limestone and processed aggregates (such as GSB, WMM, and various sizes of stone chips) to ensure they meet strict engineering, construction, and regulatory standards.
Required skills
1. Technical & Analytical Skills Material Testing Proficiency: Hands-on experience conducting standard physical and mechanical tests on aggregates, including: Sieve Analysis (Particle Size Distribution / Gradation) Specific Gravity and Water Absorption tests Aggregate Impact Value (AIV) and Aggregate Crushing Value (ACV) Flakiness and Elongation Index testing Los Angeles Abrasion test Standards & Compliance: Familiarity with relevant Indian Standards (IS Codes) for construction materials and road building (such as MoRT&H specifications for GSB and WMM). Plant Process Quality: Ability to monitor output from jaw and cone crushers to ensure the final product meets required size grading. 2. Core Soft Skills & Tools Data Recording & Reporting: Accuracy in maintaining daily test logs, calibration records, and quality compliance reports. Computer Literacy: Basic proficiency in MS Excel and lab reporting software for data management. Attention to Detail: Precision in measuring, weighing, and recording test metrics to prevent defective aggregate batches from reaching clients.
