About this role
Operate cutting equipment for ferro alloy lumps and finished material as per required size.
Cut and break solidified ferro alloy material into specified sizes.
Handle material safely during cutting, shifting and stacking.
Check the size and quality of cut material as per production requirements.
Operate and monitor cutting machines/tools safely.
Assist in loading and unloading material using suitable handling equipment.
Remove unwanted pieces, slag and oversized material.
Maintain proper housekeeping around the cutting area.
Inspect cutting tools/equipment and report damage or abnormalities.
Follow production instructions and maintain required output.
Follow PPE, safety SOPs and safe material-handling procedures.
Coordinate with production and maintenance teams during equipment problems.

Ferro alloy cutting / breaking operation Cutting tools and equipment handling Knowledge of ferro alloy material and required sizes Safe handling of hot and heavy material Basic mechanical knowledge Cutting tool inspection and maintenance Material sorting, sizing and stacking Basic troubleshooting of cutting equipment Industrial safety and PPE knowledge Good physical fitness and alertness Teamwork and communication skills Ability to work in rotational shifts Ability to follow SOPs and production targets
