About this role
Operate and monitor crushers used for raw material size reduction.
Handle materials such as iron ore, coal, dolomite and other raw materials as per plant requirements.
Monitor crusher operation, feed rate, discharge and material flow.
Check for abnormal noise, vibration, temperature, blockage or leakage.
Start and stop crusher equipment as per SOP and operating instructions.
Coordinate with conveyor, feeder and control-room operators.
Monitor conveyors, screens, feeders, hoppers and chutes connected with the crushing system.
Clear material blockage/jamming following proper safety procedures.
Assist maintenance team during equipment inspection and shutdown activities.
Maintain operating logbooks and report abnormalities to the supervisor.
Ensure proper housekeeping around the crusher area.
Follow PPE, LOTO, PTW and industrial safety procedures.
Work safely in a dusty and noisy plant environment and in rotational shifts.

RMHS / DRI crusher operation Jaw Crusher / Roll Crusher / Hammer Crusher knowledge Raw material handling knowledge Conveyor, feeder, screen & hopper operation Crusher start-up and shutdown procedures Material flow and feed-rate control Basic troubleshooting and fault identification Knowledge of blockage/jamming handling Bearing, gearbox and lubrication basics Monitoring vibration, temperature, noise and leakage Equipment inspection and housekeeping Control-room and maintenance team coordination Industrial safety, PPE, LOTO & PTW knowledge Ability to work in rotational shifts Alertness and quick decision-making

Crusher operation in RMHS/DRI/Steel Plant Knowledge of jaw crusher, roll crusher, hammer crusher or similar equipment Basic knowledge of conveyors, feeders and screens Understanding of material flow and crushing process Basic equipment inspection and troubleshooting Knowledge of bearing, gearbox and lubrication Ability to identify blockage, abnormal vibration and noise Good coordination with control-room and maintenance teams Industrial safety and PPE knowledge Basic logbook/reporting skills Alertness and quick response Rotational shift flexibility
