About this role
Operate EOT/Overhead Crane, Gantry Crane or other plant cranes safely as per requirement.
Handle and move raw materials, finished products, scrap, equipment and other materials.
Load and unload material from designated areas.
Follow crane load capacity and safe lifting procedures.
Perform pre-start inspection of crane, wire rope, hooks, brakes, limit switches and controls.
Ensure proper positioning and movement of loads.
Coordinate with ground staff, riggers and supervisors during lifting operations.
Report any crane malfunction, abnormal noise, damage or unsafe condition immediately.
Maintain crane operating area and follow housekeeping requirements.
Maintain basic operation/logbook records.
Follow PPE, safety SOPs, lifting procedures and emergency protocols.
Work in rotational shifts and support plant operations during shutdown/maintenance activities.
