About this role
Assist senior fitter in RMHS equipment maintenance and repair.
Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of material-handling equipment.
Assist in maintenance of belt conveyors, feeders, screens, crushers, hoppers, chutes and elevators.
Dismantle, assemble and replace mechanical components.
Check and replace bearings, rollers, belts, chains, couplings and gearboxes.
Assist with conveyor belt tracking, alignment and tensioning.
Perform lubrication and greasing of equipment.
Identify abnormal noise, vibration, leakage and other mechanical problems.
Support equipment shutdown, overhauling and emergency maintenance.
Use hand tools, power tools, grinding and drilling equipment safely.
Maintain housekeeping around the equipment and work area.
Follow PPE, safety procedures and Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements.
