About this role
The DGM Civil Structures serves as the strategic link between design consultants, project management consultants (PMCs), site execution teams, and corporate management. This leader ensures all structural engineering components (RCC, Precast, PEB, or Structural Steel) are executed safely, economically, on time, and in strict accordance with statutory design codes.
Required skills
• Design Review & Approval: Lead the scrutiny and vetting of structural designs, detailed calculations, blueprints, and Good for Construction (GFC) drawings submitted by external consultants or internal teams. • Execution & Technical Support: Oversee site-level structural engineering teams, offering specialized technical guidance to resolve complex foundation, load-bearing, or constructability bottlenecks on-site. • Value Engineering: Drive structural optimization and quantity-saving initiatives to minimize material wastage (steel, concrete) without compromising safety or structural integrity. • Contractor & Vendor Management: Finalize tendering metrics, evaluate technical bids for civil/structural packages, and manage sub-contractor billing, variations, and contract compliance. • QA/QC & Structural Compliance: Enforce rigorous quality assurance protocols, material test reporting, and adherence to relevant international or national codes (e.g., IS, Eurocodes, or ACI standards). • Timeline & Resource Planning: Monitor construction baselines using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project, tracking physical targets against critical paths and deploying recovery layouts if delays occur
