STORE INCHARGE FOR STEEL PIPES MANUFACTURING

A Store Incharge at a steel pipes manufacturing company manages the end-to-end flow of raw materials (steel coils/plates), consumables, spare parts, and finished products. Responsibilities include inventory control, material inward/outward processing, stock reconciliation via ERP/SAP, and ensuring plant safety and 5S compliance. Core Responsibilities Inventory & Stock Management: Track inventory levels, prevent shortages, and conduct regular physical stock-taking and reconciliation. Material Inward & Outward: Inspect incoming steel coils, fittings, and chemicals for quality and quantity against Purchase Orders (PO). Generate Goods Receipt Notes (GRN). Material Issuance: Issue raw materials and spare parts to the production floor based on authorized indents or requisition slips. Scrap Disposal: Manage the segregation, storage, and auctioning of metal/non-metal scraps, hazardous waste, and machining swarf. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of gate entries, delivery challans, and Material Received Registers (MRR) using systems like SAP or Tally. Prepare monthly MIS reports for consumption. Safety & Compliance: Enforce 5S standards, keep store premises clean, and ensure safe handling of hazardous waste. Supervise heavy equipment operators (cranes, forklifts) to maintain strict safety protocols. Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Procurement, Production, Quality Control (QC), and Finance teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations and financial audit
